I am super excited for the coolness in the air and the transition into fall. We love shopping at the farmer’s market, and I know as soon as the pumpkins and squashes are out, apples are not too far behind. Funny enough, we normally never buy apples during the year, we only really buy them at farmer’s markets. Since we often pick them up in 10lb bags, we have to make a lot of things that incorporate apples in a short amount of time. Here are 4 recipes we’ll be trying or will making again this fall!
1. Crepes with apples in caramel sauce
Crepes are so fast and easy to make, as this recipe calls for throwing everything into the Vitamix. While I am making each crepe, I have another pot going to make a quick caramel sauce. I toss freshly peeled and cut apples when I’m ready to serve everything, as I like them on the crunchier side to add texture. I don’t follow a recipe for the caramel sauce, so every batch is different, but this one is similar to what I make.

2. Apple Bourbon Smash
Last year we were big on making Peach Mint Bourbon Smashes during the summer. It won’t be hard to pivot, and this Apple Bourbon Smash looks like a fun fall cocktail to add to happy hour at home. Bourbon Smashes are incredibly easy to make, and incorporating apples and cinnamon would definitely be perfect for this weather.

3. Fresh Apple Tart
I made this last year. It was super tasty and I loved this recipe. I did take a shortcut, however, and used puff pastry instead of following the instructions. It turned out so beautifully, I can’t wait to make it again this year.

4. Brown Butter Apple Pie Cookies
I saw this on Instagram last night, and I’m SO excited to try this recipe!
