We’ve always been meaning to try snowshoeing, and we finally got around to it! It was a bit of an adventure trying to get up to Myra-Bellevue because we had never been up in that area in the winter before. After going off-course a bit, and getting the car a teensy bit stuck in the snow, we finally found where we were supposed to park, so we could head out to snowshoe. This is the first training recap post, so it should be interesting to see what form it takes. When I read other training recaps, they often incorporate distances, but it’s not going to make sense for me here. I hopped back on my bike Jan 2, 2020 and started my journey back toward building my fitness. I took a bunch of time off from training when my mom got sick in October and then passed in late November. I had started training for Ironman Canada 2020 in September last year, but then I pre-prioritized. It was the right thing to do for me, and when I look back, I don’t regret the choices I made. After about a week of cycling, I finally messaged my coach and let her know I was ready!
I am thrilled to announce that I’ve been invited to join the blueseventy racing team! I love their gear, and I’m super excited to be representing this company in my 2020 racing season.Continue reading
The SunRype Okanagan Marathon is a super fun race and one that we have had a blast racing. The course is flat and scenic. The volunteers are wonderful, and there are tons of goodies after the race for runners. This is a race we’re definitely doing on the regular.Continue reading

The only time we’ve been in that area was to snowshoe the Trestles, so this race was going to be about exploring the rest of what Myra Bellevue has to offer. The park offered stunning views, and the trails were really nice so we cannot wait to go back and check it out on our mountain bikes.Continue reading
