I was looking for a cool place to work in downtown Kelowna and Canoe Coffee Roasters was recommended to us by one of our friends. We seen Canoe come up on social media a few times now as well, as other people have raved about this place. An acquaintance of mine from a long time ago, her and I both moved to Kelowna at the same time last year. I’ve been meaning to catch up with her, but we never got around to it until now. I figured Canoe Coffee Roasters would be a good place to check out with her.
I LOVE Starbucks Reserve Bars, so I was super excited for there to be one in Vancouver. My first visit to one was in San Jose. I took a friend there because he had never had nitro cold brew before, and we also treated ourselves to the siphon bar experience. We were vibrating after all that coffee, but a Starbucks Reserve Bar is a super fun experience for anyone who is a coffee fan and enjoys an immersive interaction and experience.
Beer was on the mind. We’re training for our first 25km trail race this coming April, and needed to get some more distance and elevation in for our Sunday long run day, so we turned to Knox Mountain. We had already covered 5-6 miles that morning on the treadmill, and needed a bit more time on our feet. There was still plenty of snow on Knox, so we decided to go all the way to the top on Apex Trail, and take the roadway down. Then the post run and exercise great was going to be hitting up Vice & Virtue Brewing for a nice post hike beer afterward, and we so excited to be able to find a parking spot right out front but then saw they was closed! Their Sunday hours are something like 12-5. So we decided to check out Red Bird Brewing instead. It was perfect because we had never been to Red Bird Brewing before!
We are paying members of the CedarCreek Platinum Club. There’s tons of great perks like discounts, and private events like pickup parties! It’s “free” to be part of the wine club, in that you commit to 6 bottles of wine 3x a year. We decided to join the first time we visited CedarCreek, because we loved everything they offered in their portfolio. Since we now live in Kelowna, we opted to attend the pickup party and pick up our wine there, rather than have our wine shipped to us. This was our second pickup party and it was way more fun than we expected!
My girlfriend and I were meeting for lunch and she suggested this place. She has great taste, I love the Fairmont Pacific Rim, as well as The Lobby Lounge and RawBar, so I knew I was in for a treat. It’s contemporary cuisine, a Pacific Westcoast dining experience.Continue reading
